The Power of Positive Emotions
Miriam Akhtar, MAPP (www.positivepsychologytraining.co.uk) is a leading practitioner of positive psychology in the UK and was one of the first positive psychologists in Europe. She puts positive psychology into practice as a coach, consultant, trainer and groupwork facilitator. Miriam delivers Positive Psychology Masterclasses and well-being programmes in the UK including the Happiness Habits for the UK’s first Happy City – Bristol. She is one of the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Resilience Program (PRP) facilitators in the UK. Miriam is passionate about using positive psychology interventions for mental health and is the author of Positive Psychology for Overcoming Depression: Self-help Strategies for Happiness, Inner Strength & Well-being. She is one of the 100 worldwide experts who contributed to the World Book of Happiness, which was given to 200 world leaders by the President of the European Union, Herman van Rompuy. Miriam is a visiting lecturer at the University of East London, home to the first European Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) and at the University of the West of England.
Positive Psychology and the Concept of Positive Differences in Management
Mag. Dr. Günter Lueger (Founder and Director of Solution Management Center) is former professor for leadership and coaching and founder and director of the Solution Management Center, a research and training center in Vienna. He works on the topic “Science of Solutions” and how the perception of people in companies can be changed to perceive more positive aspects at the workplace even when the situation is difficult. He has developed different formats of new scales, graphs as well as qualitative elements for redesigning instruments to overcome the negative-centered view in classical analysis instruments in consulting and management. He is the author of the book Solution-Focused Management.
